Cerkno–Dolenji Novaki–Robidnica–Počivalo–Črni vrh–Počivalo–Gorenji Novaki–Dolenji Novaki–Cerkno
From the main square in Cerkno, we head towards Novaki, in the direction of the Cerkno Ski Centre. Follow the asphalt road, passing the junction for the Franja Partisan Hospital in the direction of Dolenji Novaki. At the Church of St. Thomas in Dolenji Novaki, turn right and follow the sign for Leskovica. The path which leads between a medium-sized barn and an apartment building soon becomes gravel, and climbs gently for the next 3 kilometres. At the Robidensko brdo pass, turn left towards the Cerkno Ski Centre. After 2 kilometres, you reach the lower station of the Počivalo chairlift, from where you continue right along the old Italian supply route. After 2.5 kilometres, you reach the turning for Blegoš. Keep to the left, and after 1 kilometre, at the junction just below the summit, turn right along the path that leads to the top of the ski slope. With its mysterious appeal, soft grassy spots under conifers and abundant wild fruits, Črni vrh has always been a favourite family excursion spot, and its high mountain meadows offer spectacular views in all directions – from the surrounding hills to the Trnovo Forest Plateau and the Banjšice Plateau, from Porezno to the Lower Bohinj Mountains, from Triglav and the Karawanks to the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Return along the same trail, except that at the Počivalo station, you head straight towards the Cerkno–Gorenji Novaki main road. At the junction with the main road, head back towards Cerkno and return back to the starting point.
