Cerkno–Franja Partisan Hospital–Poljane–Cerkno
An easier tour that takes you to the Franja Partisan Hospital, a famous monument to humanity hidden in the Pasice Gorge. From the main square in Cerkno, we head towards Novaki, in the direction of the Cerkno Ski Centre. After 4 kilometres of straight asphalt road, turn left at the junction and head uphill towards the Franja Partisan Hospital.
You will ascend to the area from where you can visit the Franja Partisan Hospital on foot through a wild, rocky gorge. After the tour, continue the cycle tour on a dirt path through the trees. Cross the bridge and go left past the quarry. After an easy climb, cycle to the homestead and descend through a cluster of houses and outbuildings to a footbridge over a stream.
Continue along a pleasant forest path in the cool of the trees, and at the end of the forest you reach a sunny grassy slope with a view across the valley towards Cerkno.
Continue cycling to the clustered village of Poljane with its characteristic farmhouses and, at the edge of the village, descend a steep slope back to the main road, where you turn right towards Cerkno.
